10 Breakfasts To Boost Your Energy
If you get tired during the day, chances are you are not eating the right things for breakfast. These 10 breakfasts to boost your energy are simple, healing, and may even change your life a bit.
How awesome would it be to have enough energy during the day so that you don’t get a mid-morning slump or that mid-afternoon crankiness? I can tell you from experience that it feels amazing.
If you are one of the many people who need an energy boost, starting with the correct foods for breakfast is the intelligent way to go. Yeah, I know… you’ve been eating healthy and you have your easy breakfast go-to’s… but if you find yourself hungry (or hangry) before lunch or you feel like you want a nap in the afternoon, you’re not doing it right and it’s time for a change.
I Used To Have No Energy…
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was young and I thought I was healthy. But I was happy when my plans got cancelled. When I speak to my clients now, I see that I was far from alone. How many of you out there are happy to make a plan, but relieved when the time gets close and then your plans get cancelled?
If this is you, then I can tell you with 100% certainty, that if you add the correct energy-increasing foods, herbs, and supplements into your diet while simultaneously removing the things that create inflammation and weigh you down, you will have a second chance at a fun-filled life.
I had horrible digestive issues for the first 30 years of my life. Yes, 30 years! It wasn’t until I was introduced to the world of alternative medicine, that I was able to get my life and my health back under control. I used to have to know where every bathroom was at all times. I was on a ton of medication. I had zero energy and I didn’t sleep. Ugh… wow, do I sound like a big mess…
Well, I was. But all of that led me to where I am now. And I am forever grateful for where I am now!
One of the biggest things that helped me was going grain free. I cannot stress enough how much this helped my digestive issues, boosted my energy, and improved my mood. My health improved so much. Then, I started removing other offenders from my diet and I added in superfoods, etc.
I want to help you feel as good as I do. I remember so clearly what my life was like before I had this information.
My passion is helping you heal yourself with food and herbs. It’s truly my calling. When I was studying for my Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine, I knew that all of these amazing tenets of Eastern Medicine could be applied to food and used as everyday healing agents for so many people. I knew that if I combined what I was learning about the properties of food, herbs, supplements with what I already knew from my chef’s training, it would be life-changing.
And it is. My training in both Eastern and Western medicine, combined with my obsession with food and cooking, has given me a unique skillset that has helped so many people. And I want to help you. Nothing aggravates me more than knowing that these tools exist but that so many of you have not been taught them.
Everyone should know how to heal themselves with food, supplements, and herbs. This should not be a secret.
If you eat the right foods and take the right supplements for your unique body and circumstances, you can heal yourself. All you need is the correct information. And I’m here to give it to you.

10 Breakfasts To Boost Your Energy Throughout The Day
If you make any of these 10 breakfasts to boost your energy, please be sure to let me know in the comments below. I love hearing how you like a recipe, and I love to answer your questions! If you make it, be sure to take a photo and tag me and post it on Instagram.
1. Hot Chocolate Smoothie Bowl
This is my all-time favorite breakfast for fall and winter. It tastes like a bowl of creamy chocolate pudding. It’s filling and delicious. You can customize it any way you’d like by omitting an ingredient, or adding in a different topping.
2. Paleo Pumpkin PancakesThese pancakes are made with buckwheat flour. Buckwheat is a seed — not a grain — so you won’t feel weighed down after you eat them.
3. Turmeric Chia Pudding
Chia puddings are perfect for your busy lifestyle. This recipe comes together in about 2-minutes, and you make it the night before so in the morning when you open your fridge, it’s there waiting for you. I like to make them in little mason jars with lids so that I can use it as a grab-and-go breakfast.
4. Espresso Chocolate Chip Smoothie
Have you ever used espresso-flavored coconut water? If not, you are in for a treat! If you can’t locate any, leave a comment below and I’ll help you find some! As an alternative, feel free to use regular coconut water and add a little bit of espresso… yum!
5. Creamy Sweet Potato Bowl
This is honestly and truly one of the best breakfasts you will ever have. Feel free to put a sunny-side-up egg on top if that will make you happy. To make this easy, I roasted a few sweet potatoes at the beginning of the week, so they are ready to go when I want them.
6. Berry Fig Yogurt Parfait
There are so many awesome dairy-free yogurts available now. My favorite for this breakfast parfait, is a nice thick and rich coconut yogurt. If you want more info, just leave a comment… this one can be customized in so many ways to fit your needs.
7. Sweet Potato Bacon Waffles
This one’s a great weekend breakfast/brunch treat. Sweet potatoes and bacon. Enough said.
8. Bulletproof Coffee Sweetened With Dates
Bulletproof coffee is your breakfast… it’s not the beverage that goes alongside the food. It is the main and only attraction. If you haven’t tried this yet, you really should.
9. Apple Cinnamon Smoothie
Apples and cinnamon are a great combo — this is so comforting. For an additional energy boost, add a scoop of collagen.
10. Butternut Squash Sausage Frittata
This is an amazing breakfast/brunch recipe and makes for awesome leftovers during the week. Here’s why Everyone Loves Eggs And You Should Too.
