The recipes are a reflection of what you see here on Kitchen Of Youth. Most of them are simple and almost all have options for every type of diet: vegan, grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free. All of the recipes are delicious and healing.
The first part of the book teaches you the basic principles of Chinese Medicine and helps you figure out what body type you are and what recipes are best for your needs. However, you don’t have to delve deeply into this section to reap the benefits of the book. The recipes are categorized by season, so it’s easy to know where to start. Just go to the current season’s chapter, pick a recipe that’s tagged with the type of diet you are comfortable with, and start cooking.
There’s even an illness index in the back of the book so that you can look up whatever health issue you have and be directed to great recipes for this condition.
